Castrol Istanbul Rally Championship which celebrates its 8th year, is organized in Istanbul. Heavy Rain and strong wind affected the sunday programme badly. Rain destroyed one of the stages hard and organizers decided to cancel the whole stage which had to be run twice according to itinerary.

Istanbul's local championship holds its importance for giving many opportunities to amateurs and beginners. Short and easy gravel stages give competitors low budget rally opportunity, in order to improve themselves.

Toksport attended the rally with 3 EVO9 and as previous years, detailed and timed job resulted top of the podium. Mustafa Soylemez and his co-driver Cem Bakancocuklari won the first round of the champ and carried his championship hopes to second round which will be held in two weeks time.

Guven Bostanci from Parkur Racing came second, while Menederes Okur from Deltasport came 3rd.
